Denver Nuggets coach Michael Malone gets a tattoo of former team mascot Maxie the Miner holding the NBA championship trophy to commemorate the team's first title.
Malone heard about a local tattoo artist offering cheap Nuggets tattoos during the playoffs and decided to get one after the team won the championship.
Malone's assistants Ryan Bowen and Ryan Griffin also got the same tattoo.
Maxie the Miner was the Nuggets' mascot from 1974 to 1981, and Malone led the current Nuggets to their first NBA title.
Malone's new tattoo and championship cemented his status as a Denver icon.
