Nuggets’ Cam Johnson To Be Re-Evaluated in 4–6 Weeks After Right Knee Bone Bruise

Overview

  • MRI results showed a bone bruise in Johnson’s right knee with no structural damage, per multiple reports.
  • The team set a 4–6 week re-evaluation window, and Johnson is expected to miss multiple weeks, including the Christmas game against Minnesota.
  • Johnson was injured late in the fourth quarter of Tuesday’s 131–130 loss in Dallas when he landed awkwardly contesting a rebound and did not return.
  • Denver is also without Aaron Gordon (hamstring) and Christian Braun (ankle), leaving the wing rotation thin.
  • The injury report lists Johnson under “right knee hyperextension injury management,” and increased minutes are expected for Peyton Watson, Spencer Jones, Bruce Brown and Tim Hardaway Jr.
