Overview

  • Governor Samuel García handed over 40 new Marcopolo and Volvo buses for the Ruta 203 corridor linking Monterrey, San Pedro, Santa Catarina and García.
  • The fleet now comprises 2,200 vehicles—1,800 buses and 400 TransMetro units—with 1,800 more arriving toward the 4,000-bus target.
  • Each bus is equipped with geolocation, GPS, direct C5 connectivity, disc brakes on all wheels, an anti-rollover system and telemetry controls to bolster safety and efficiency.
  • Local production of the Euro 6 diesel buses has created 1,200 direct jobs in Nuevo León and supports emissions reductions ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
  • Officials are coordinating mayors, schools, cargo operators and businesses to stagger schedules, establish high-occupancy lanes and align with Metro line expansions to optimize multimodal circulation.
