NTA to Open JEE Main 2026 Registration in October, Confirms Two-Session Plan

Overview

  • Applications will open on the official portal jeemain.nta.nic.in in October, with exact start and close dates yet to be announced.
  • The exam will be held in two sessions in January and April 2026, with Paper 1 for B.E./B.Tech and Paper 2 for B.Arch/B.Planning.
  • Candidates may register for Session 1 and later opt for Session 2 using the same application number, or apply only for Session 2 when its window opens.
  • Test days are expected to feature two shifts—9 am to 12 noon and 3 pm to 6 pm—pending formal confirmation.
  • NTA advises candidates to update Aadhaar, UDID and category certificates in advance and to follow the official website for application steps, correction windows and admit-card schedules.
