NTA Reschedules Jan 23 JEE Main in West Bengal Over Saraswati Puja

Admit cards are expected within days under the 3–4 day release window, with exam city slips already available online.

Overview

  • The testing agency said candidates assigned to January 23 in West Bengal will be moved to another date within the advertised Session 1 window of January 21–29.
  • Session 1 will run on January 21, 22, 23, 24, 28 and 29, with Paper 1 in two shifts from 9 am–12 noon and 3 pm–6 pm, and Paper 2 in a single morning shift on the last day.
  • Hall tickets have not been released yet and are expected 3–4 days before the exams; candidates must download them from jeemain.nta.nic.in as they will not be sent by post.
  • NTA has advised candidates to verify details on the admit card, contact the helpdesk for discrepancies, and carry relevant printouts if issues persist.
  • Officials have indicated a plan to introduce facial biometric verification during examinations and live photography at the application stage starting with this JEE cycle.
