NTA Publishes Provisional NEET UG Answer Key and Opens Short Challenge Window

The agency says subject experts will review objections while OMR scanning continues so the final key and results can be issued faster.

Overview

  • The National Testing Agency posted the provisional answer key for the June 21 re-NEET on Thursday and opened an online challenge portal that closes at 11:50 p.m. on June 28.
  • Candidates can contest answers by paying Rs 200 per question and must upload documentary support; the fee is refunded if an expert panel upholds a challenge.
  • NTA says it released the provisional key while OMR response scanning is still underway so expert adjudication can run in parallel and shorten the time to the final key and results.
  • The provisional key removed four questions, and NTA has warned that the final answer key prepared after expert review will be binding for evaluation and result preparation.
  • Separately, the agency reopened a bank-details confirmation window that closes on June 30 to collect correct account information and use OTP two-factor authentication for processing re-exam fee refunds.
