Overview
- On Thursday the National Testing Agency released final answer keys and declared results for the UGC‑NET June 2026 exams in English, Commerce and Sociology.
- A total of 196,491 candidates registered and 120,355 sat the tests at 454 centres in 272 cities, with 35,588 qualifying overall including 824 for JRF, 11,610 for Assistant Professor and 23,154 for PhD only.
- Provisional question papers, answer keys and recorded responses were posted from September 10 to 13 to allow objections and subject experts reviewed those challenges before finalising the keys.
- Candidates can log in to the official UGC‑NET portal using their application number and password to download final answer keys and scorecards and should keep copies for the upcoming verification process.
- UGC‑NET determines eligibility for university teaching and research funding so the results will now trigger document checks by appointing authorities and shape next steps for successful candidates seeking jobs or doctoral admission.
