NTA Opens UGC NET December 2025 Registration With Nov. 7 Deadline

The session will run as a computer-based test across 85 subjects with no negative marking.

Overview

  • Online applications are accepted from October 7 to November 7, 2025 until 11:50 pm, with a correction window from November 10 to 12.
  • Candidates must apply only at ugcnet.nta.nic.in through a single online form per applicant.
  • Fees are set at ₹1,150 for General, ₹600 for Gen‑EWS/OBC‑NCL, and ₹325 for SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender, payable via card, net banking or UPI.
  • The exam will be held in two parts over 3 hours, featuring objective questions with +2 marks for each correct response and no penalty for wrong answers.
  • NTA will announce exam cities, admit card release and exact dates later; the test qualifies candidates for JRF, Assistant Professor roles and PhD admission.
