- The prescribed fees are ₹1,150 for General, ₹600 for General‑EWS/OBC‑NCL and ₹325 for SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender applicants, with bank/payment gateway processing charges and GST charged extra.
- The Joint CSIR‑UGC NET will be a computer‑based test held on December 19, 22 and 27, 2026 in two three‑hour shifts (9:00–12:00 and 15:00–18:00) and will cover five science subject groups in English and Hindi.
- Candidates must apply only through the official portal csirnet.nta.nic.in by completing registration, filling the form, paying fees through net banking/debit/credit/UPI and downloading the confirmation page as proof of submission.
