NTA Opens CUET UG 2026 Registration as Exams Set for May 11–31

The rollout sets a unified admission timetable for central universities plus hundreds of participating colleges.

Overview

  • Applications are open until January 30, with fee payment accepted until January 31 at 11:50 pm; the fee for up to three subjects is ₹1,000 for General, ₹900 for OBC-NCL/EWS, and ₹800 for SC/ST/PwD/third-gender candidates, with extra charges for additional papers.
  • A correction window will be available from February 2 to February 4 for candidates to edit submitted application details.
  • The test will run in computer-based mode across multiple shifts in 13 languages for admissions to programmes at 47 central universities and more than 300 participating institutions in India and overseas.
  • Each paper will be 60 minutes, candidates may choose up to five subjects including languages and the General Aptitude Test, and scoring will award +5 for correct answers with −1 for incorrect responses.
  • NTA will announce exam city intimation, admit cards, answer keys, and result dates later, and it has advised applicants to ensure Aadhaar or UDID details and category certificates are updated to avoid discrepancies.
