- The National Testing Agency published the e-certificates on the official UGC‑NET portal on Friday, Sept 25, for all candidates who qualified in the June 2026 cycle.
- Candidates must log in at ugcnet.nta.nic.in with their application number and password to download the certificate and may email ugcnet@nta.ac.in or ecertificate@nta.ac.in for download problems.
- Three subject papers — English, Commerce and Sociology — were re‑held on Sept 9–10 after an expert committee found factual, typographical, translation and repeated‑question errors in the original exams.
- NTA declared final results on Sept 17 and published participation and qualification figures showing 1,20,355 appeared for the three re‑tested subjects out of 1,96,491 registered, with 824 qualifying for JRF, 11,610 for Assistant Professor and 23,154 for PhD.
- Universities and colleges must still verify candidates’ eligibility and supporting documents as specified in the UGC‑NET June 2026 information bulletin before appointments or PhD admissions, which will determine how quickly hires and admissions proceed.
