Overview

  • The National Testing Agency (NTA) has identified 106 Telegram channels and 16 Instagram accounts spreading false claims about NEET UG 2025 paper leaks.
  • A Suspicious Claims Reporting Portal, launched on April 26, has received over 1,500 reports, with most submissions related to fake leak messages on Telegram.
  • The NTA has formally requested the removal of flagged accounts and sought administrator details from Telegram and Instagram for legal action.
  • Cases have been escalated to the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) under the Ministry of Home Affairs for investigation and prosecution.
  • The Ministry of Education is coordinating with local authorities nationwide to ensure security and prevent irregularities during the May 4 exam across 5,000 centers in over 550 cities.
