NTA Closes Answer‑Key Objection Window for National Exams Today

Review of paid online objections by subject experts will set final answer keys, delaying results for candidates in reconducted papers.

Overview

  • Candidates must submit online challenges for UGC NET, CSIR UGC NET and ICAR AIEEA PG & AICE provisional answer keys by 11:59 PM on Tuesday to have them considered.
  • The NTA published provisional answer keys and individual response sheets for 84 UGC NET subjects so candidates can check recorded answers before filing objections.
  • Objections are accepted only through the official portal with supporting documents and a ₹200 fee per question, which is refunded if the challenge is upheld.
  • Subject experts will review all paid challenges and any accepted correction will be applied uniformly to the final key that determines results.
  • The agency has scheduled reconducts for UGC NET English, Commerce and Sociology on September 9–10 for affected candidates, a step that will delay result finalisation for those papers; the ICAR and CSIR exams involved tens of thousands of candidates nationwide.
