NTA Allows Fresh Applications for JEE Main 2027 Session 1

The move gives candidates a way to fix major form errors through full re‑submission while requiring new application numbers, fresh fee payments, and fixed deadlines.

Overview

  • The National Testing Agency announced Saturday that candidates may submit a completely new application for JEE Main 2027 Session 1 even if they have already received an application number or paid the fee.
  • Only the last form for which the examination fee is paid and a Confirmation Page is generated will be treated as the valid application, and each fresh submission will generate a new application number.
  • Fresh applications must be completed, including fee payment, by 22 November 2026 up to 11:50 PM with a late‑fee window from 23 November to 26 November 2026 up to 11:50 PM, and a separate correction window for limited edits will open from 27 to 29 November 2026.
  • Any earlier fee will not be refunded or adjusted so candidates filling a fresh form must pay again and re‑enter and re‑upload all documents such as photograph and signature, increasing time and cost for applicants.
  • The NTA warns that attempting to appear using more than one application number will be treated as use of Unfair Means and handled under the Information Bulletin; candidates should consult the NTA information bulletin and nta.ac.in for the full list of editable fields and official procedures.
