- Police say the man spoke with officers, went inside, then returned with a bow and arrow and aimed it at them.
- Officers retreated to their vehicle for cover before a police firearm was discharged.
- NSW Ambulance treated the man for a gunshot wound, but he died at the scene and has not been publicly identified.
- A critical incident investigation is underway led by the State Crime Command Homicide Squad with Professional Standards review and LECC oversight, and police have urged information to Crime Stoppers.
