NSW Police Seize 76kg of Meth in Heathcote Raid

A separate south‑west probe yielded five arrests, firearms, cash, plus an encrypted device.

Overview

  • Officers executed a 4pm Wednesday warrant at a Princes Highway home in Heathcote, locating a clandestine lab and about 76 kilograms of methylamphetamine worth an estimated $7.6 million.
  • A 48-year-old man was arrested at the home, charged with nine offences including commercial supply and operating drug premises, refused bail, and set to reappear on 21 October.
  • Police imagery and evidence detailed large glass flasks, clamps, precursor chemicals and improvised items, with specialist chemical operations, forensic and Fire and Rescue teams securing the hazardous site.
  • In a separate Oran Park operation on Friday, police seized 56 grams of cocaine, $2500 cash, a rifle, a loaded revolver, ammunition and a dedicated encrypted criminal communication device.
  • Five people were charged in the Oran Park probe, including a 36-year-old facing 13 counts alleging criminal-group leadership and firearm offending, with all refused bail ahead of Parramatta Local Court appearances.
