Overview
- An arrest warrant was obtained in September for Harley Johan, 31, also known as YC Ewzy, in the November 22, 2024 shooting of Niddal Acherkouk at a Cleveland Street service station.
- Police released CCTV showing two masked attackers, including one in a black poncho, and are seeking to identify a second man described as medium build in a black Nike hoodie, blue track pants and white/blue Nike runners.
- Detectives believe Johan fled overseas shortly after the attack and are asking the public and international partners for help to locate him.
- Investigators say the gunmen left in a stolen Porsche that was found burnt out in Kensington before switching to a stolen white Audi hatchback.
- Acherkouk, who was known to police and linked to Sydney’s underworld, was the 27th gangland murder since 2020, with the probe continuing under Strike Force Moorlands.
