NSW Police Arrest Three, Say They Foiled Planned Hit Near Sydney Daycare

Strike Force Flodine surveillance guided the intercept that police say disrupted an organised-crime plot.

Overview

  • Police allege the trio were en route to carry out a killing near a daycare centre in Sydney’s south-west.
  • Two vehicles were stopped about 3:50pm on The River Road at Revesby after surveillance in Condell Park identified suspects mobilising to carry out an offence.
  • Men aged 18 and 19 were arrested from one car and a 26-year-old from a second vehicle, according to NSW Police.
  • Officers seized two firearms, balaclavas, body-worn cameras and fuel cans from the cars, and later located a third firearm in searches of linked vehicles and premises.
  • The men have been charged, refused bail and are due at Bankstown Local Court on Wednesday, and the operation drew on the Tactical Operations Unit, PolAir, the Dog Squad and State Intelligence Command.
