Overview

  • The exchange will run a 15‑minute pre‑open at 1:30 PM, the main window from 1:45 PM to 2:45 PM, and allow trade modifications until 2:55 PM.
  • BSE is expected to host a corresponding Muhurat session, but its timings have not been announced.
  • The session marks the start of Vikram Samvat 2082 and is regarded as an auspicious time for new positions, with prices often more volatile given the brief window.
  • Trading will be available across segments including equities, equity derivatives, currency, commodities and securities lending and borrowing.
  • Exchanges will observe Diwali holidays on Oct. 21 for Laxmi Pujan and Oct. 22 for Balipratipada, with regular markets otherwise closed on those days.
