The exchange set the Diwali Muhurat Trading session for November 8 with timings to be announced, giving traders a clear schedule to plan operations across segments.

  • The calendar confirms 15 working-day market holidays in 2026, with complete closures across equities, derivatives, currency and bullion.
  • Four public holidays fall on weekends: February 15 (Mahashivratri), March 21 (Id-Ul-Fitr), August 15 (Independence Day) and November 8 (Diwali Laxmi Pujan).
  • The first trading holiday is Monday, January 26 (Republic Day), and the last is Friday, December 25 (Christmas).
  • March has the highest number of working-day closures at three, while April, May, October and November each have two.
  • Standard sessions on trading days remain unchanged: pre-open 9:00–9:08 am, regular trading 9:15 am–3:30 pm, closing session 3:40–4:00 pm, and block deals 8:45–9:00 am and 2:05–2:20 pm.
