Overview

  • Trading will resume on Thursday, August 28, with all segments returning to regular hours.
  • A wide set of venues and products will be offline on Wednesday, including equities, equity and currency derivatives, commodity derivatives, SLB, EGR, debt, tri-party repo, corporate bonds, mutual funds, interest rate derivatives, and negotiated trade reporting.
  • MCX will remain closed for the morning session on August 27 and reopen for evening trade, with NCDEX following a similar schedule.
  • Banks in multiple states will observe a public holiday the same day, affecting branch services in cities such as Mumbai, Belapur, Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Hyderabad, Panaji, and Vijayawada.
  • September has no special market holidays, with the next closures listed for October 2 and during Diwali when a Muhurat trading session is scheduled for October 21.
