The 19-year-old striker becomes one of the 2. Bundesliga's most expensive transfers, with a loan back to Nürnberg until season's end.

  • Stefanos Tzimas, a 19-year-old striker for 1. FC Nürnberg, has been sold to Brighton & Hove Albion for a reported €25 million, making him the club's most expensive transfer.
  • Nürnberg exercised an €18 million buy option on Tzimas, previously on loan from PAOK Saloniki, before finalizing the sale to Brighton.
  • Tzimas will remain on loan at Nürnberg until the end of the current season, having already scored 10 goals in 17 league matches this season.
  • The transfer leaves Nürnberg with an estimated €2.5 million profit after accounting for the buyout fee.
