Nürnberg Unveils Record €105 Million Year on Transfers, Confirms Mintál Return

Club leaders cautioned the surplus stems from exceptional transfer income tied to anniversary activity.

Overview

  • At the annual meeting, 1. FC Nürnberg reported €105.3 million in revenue for 2024/25 and a consolidated profit of €13.1 million.
  • Transfer income reached €52.4 million, driven by sales including Stefanos Tzimas, Can Uzun, Finn Jeltsch and Jens Castrop.
  • Transfer spending totaled €28.6 million, with profits reduced by the need to first buy Tzimas permanently from PAOK for about €18 million before selling him.
  • Excluding transfers and other one‑offs, the club would have posted a €10.8 million loss, and reporting indicated a remaining structural deficit of more than €3 million.
  • Marek Mintál will start in January as striker coach, and the club said a decision on head coach Miroslav Klose’s contract will follow after the first half of the season.
