Overview

  • From August 1, users can check their account balance no more than 50 times per day on each UPI app.
  • Viewing linked bank accounts through UPI apps will be restricted to 25 daily attempts per user.
  • UPI apps will allow only three status retries for pending transactions each day, with at least 90 seconds between checks.
  • Recurring autopay mandates will be executed only before 10 AM, between 1 PM and 5 PM or after 9:30 PM to ease peak-hour load.
  • Reversal requests will be capped at ten per month with a limit of five per sender; PSPs must monitor API velocity to comply or face NPCI sanctions.
