November Bolsa Família Payments Begin on NIS Calendar Running Through Nov. 28

Overview

• Deposits started on Nov. 14 for beneficiaries with NIS ending in 1 and continue, by final digit, until Nov. 28 for those with NIS ending in 0.
• The federal government will transfer R$12.69 billion to about 18.65 million families in November, with an average benefit near R$683 per household.
• Credits are advanced regardless of NIS for all beneficiaries in Acre and Rio Grande do Sul, residents of Rio Bonito do Iguaçu (PR), and municipalities under emergency or calamity in Amazonas, Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte, Roraima, Sergipe, São Paulo and parts of Paraná.
• The program guarantees a minimum of R$600 per family and adds R$150 per child up to 6 years plus R$50 for pregnant women, lactating mothers and youths 7–18, with eligibility set at up to R$218 in monthly per‑capita income and compliance with school, prenatal and vaccination requirements.
• Roughly 3 million households receive the transitional 50% benefit under the protection rule for those who gained income, and the allowed duration was recently reduced for new entrants.
