Notre Dame Lands Purdue Kicker Spencer Porath From Transfer Portal

The move continues Notre Dame's practice of importing proven kickers through the portal.

Porath announced via X that he will join the Irish, a commitment characterized as filling Notre Dame’s final roster need in this transfer window.
He converted 15 of 17 field goals in 2025 with a long of 53 yards and earned honorable mention All-Big Ten.
Notre Dame prioritized upgrading kicker after 2025 injuries and inconsistency, including Noah Burnette’s absence and Erik Schmidt going 0-for-3 on field goals.
This is the fourth straight season the Irish have added a transfer kicker, following Blake Grupe (2022), Spencer Shrader (2023), and Mitch Jeter (2024).
Purdue loses a reliable scorer, and the Boilermakers are scheduled to face Porath with Notre Dame in each of the next two seasons.
