Notorious Hamburg Drug Lord Captured in Colombia

Marcel Mühlbach, on Europe's Most Wanted list, was apprehended after a two-year international manhunt.

Marcel Mühlbach, a 43-year-old alleged drug dealer from Hamburg, was arrested in Colombia by local authorities.
He had been on the run since October 2020, fleeing first to Turkey and then to Colombia, evading capture for nearly two years.
Mühlbach was wanted for trafficking multiple kilograms of cocaine and amphetamines and was included on Europol's 'Europe's Most Wanted' list.
The arrest occurred during his entry from Ecuador into Colombia, and he has since been extradited to Germany for trial.
The investigation, involving Hamburg's LKA and the Hamburg State Prosecutor's Office, continues as authorities build their case against him.
