Norwegian Fishermen Snag US Nuclear Submarine in Unusual Incident

A US Navy submarine was caught in fishing nets off Norway's coast, prompting an investigation and compensation for the fishermen.

The USS Virginia, a 377-foot nuclear-powered submarine, became entangled in the nets of a Norwegian fishing boat near Tromsø.
The incident resulted in the submarine dragging the nets approximately two nautical miles before being freed by the Norwegian Coast Guard.
