Overview

  • The 28-year-old, son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit and stepson to Crown Prince Haakon, could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted of the most serious charges.
  • The indictment alleges rapes in 2018, 2023 and 2024, some after consensual sex while the women slept, and includes accusations of covertly filming women's genitals.
  • Additional charges include domestic abuse against ex-partner Nora Haukland, violence toward another former partner, threats, restraining-order violations, vandalism and traffic offenses.
  • Høiby denies rape and domestic-violence allegations, with his lawyer saying he may plead guilty to some lesser offences, and he remains free pending trial.
