Overview

• Josephine Pimpinella, 84, was struck by a pickup truck while crossing the driveway at 133 Connecticut Avenue on Saturday morning around 10:15 a.m.
• First responders transported her to Norwalk Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries later that day.
• Officers from the Norwalk Police Crash Reconstruction Unit processed the scene and assumed responsibility for the technical investigation.
• Detectives have formally opened an inquiry and are inviting the public to submit any information that could help identify additional witnesses.
