Northwestern State football player killed in early morning shooting; university cancels game

Ronnie Caldwell, 21, died from multiple gunshot wounds in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
Caldwell was a junior safety on the Northwestern State football team.
The shooting occurred at an apartment complex near campus in the early morning hours.
Northwestern State canceled their upcoming football game against Nicholls State.
Police are still investigating the shooting and no arrests have been made.
