  • Chicago police say the driver of a white sedan opened fire first and a 23-year-old concealed-carry license holder returned fire.
  • The suspect lost control of their vehicle, crashed into a nearby building and then fled on foot before officers arrived.
  • Despite multiple rounds exchanged and structural damage to the building, no injuries were reported and no arrests have been made.
  • Area Five detectives have taken charge of the investigation and continue to search for the armed suspect.
