• Tickets are on sale from 8am Tuesday 30 September until Thursday 2 October 2025 via Northern’s app, website, ticket offices and ticket machines at stations it manages.
• Discounted fares are valid for travel from Monday 6 October to Friday 24 October 2025 across the North of England.
• Northern highlighted strong availability on routes serving Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool Lime Street, Sheffield, Blackpool North, Manchester Airport and other hubs.
• Commercial and customer director Alex Hornby said the offer gives regular passengers a chance to visit somewhere new and invites non-users to try the train.
• The company advised customers to book early because the £2 allocations are limited and will sell out.
