Northern Railway Announces Five-Day KatraSangaldan Flood Special to Move Stranded Passengers

Unreserved runs will help reconnect areas cut off by road damage in Reasi and Ramban.

Overview

  • The KatraSangaldan Flood Special (04685/04686) will operate as an unreserved temporary service from September 8 to 12.
  • The trains will run via Reasi, Bakkal, Dugga and Sawalkote, with 04685 departing Katra at 08:40 and reaching Sangaldan at 10:00, and 04686 returning at 14:15 to arrive at 15:45.

  • Northern Railway reports 21 trains restored so far, while J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has ordered damage assessments in Anantnag and Kulgam to prepare compensation proposals.
