Overview

• The coordinated overnight operation ran from late September 25 into the early hours of September 26 across Frances Baard, John Taolo Gaetsewe, Namakwa, Pixley ka Seme and ZF Mgcawu districts.
• Provincial, district and station detective commanders led the tracing drive with support from specialised units that executed targeted takedowns.
• Arrestees had outstanding allegations including murder, attempted murder, robbery, assault, drug possession, breaches of protection orders, immigration violations and tampering with essential infrastructure.
• All those detained are expected to appear in magistrates’ courts across the province in due course.
