Overview
- The final span was erected recently, completing the launch of all eight girder spans on Bridge No.164.
- Piers P3 and P4 each rise to 141 meters, establishing the world’s tallest railway bridge piers.
- The Noney Bridge forms part of the 111km Jiribam–Imphal line, which will link remote regions of Manipur upon full commissioning.
- The Jiribam–Khongsang segment has been operational since September 2022, carrying essential goods across 55.36 km.
- Khongsang–Noney (18.25 km) and Noney–Imphal (37.02 km) sections are scheduled for commissioning in the coming years.
