Overview

  • The final span was erected recently, completing the launch of all eight girder spans on Bridge No.164.
  • Piers P3 and P4 each rise to 141 meters, establishing the world’s tallest railway bridge piers.
  • The Noney Bridge forms part of the 111km JiribamImphal line, which will link remote regions of Manipur upon full commissioning.
  • The JiribamKhongsang segment has been operational since September 2022, carrying essential goods across 55.36 km.
  • KhongsangNoney (18.25 km) and NoneyImphal (37.02 km) sections are scheduled for commissioning in the coming years.
