North Walsham Turns Out for Lauren Hemp’s Euro 2025 Homecoming

Thousands of fans filled Market Place after a four-hour road closure to celebrate the Euro 2025 winner’s return.

Overview

  • Market Place was closed from 10 am to 2 pm between Kings Arms Street and Church Street to facilitate the event while preserving emergency access.
  • At 11 am a town crier announced the ribbon cutting unveiling a Sanders Coaches bus named in Hemp’s honour.
  • Hemp spent nearly two hours greeting supporters and signing shirts, boots, balls and photos along the parade route.
  • Sanders Coaches presented her with a custom Lego double-deck bus kit in recognition of her passion for the hobby.
  • Her parents, grandmother and uncle joined youth players from local clubs to celebrate her rise from grassroots football to national champion.
