North Road Acquires Significant Stake in Questlove and Black Thought's Production Company Two One Five Entertainment

Investment will allow Two One Five to expand into scripted content, fund creative ideas independently, and significantly increase project output with strategic support from North Road.

• North Road has acquired a significant stake in Two One Five Entertainment, a production company owned by Questlove and Black Thought of The Roots, providing financial support for future film, TV, and other creative projects.
• The investment will provide Two One Five Entertainment the opportunity to venture into scripted content, expanding beyond their previous focus on unscripted content, and significantly increase their project output.
• Questlove directed Two One Five's documentary, 'Summer of Soul', which won an Oscar and a BAFTA for best documentary and tells the story of the 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival; their portfolio also includes the Negro Baseball League film 'The League' and Sundance award-winner 'Descendent'.
• North Road's previous acquisitions over the past year include Hock Films, Peyton Manning's Omaha Productions, and Turkish film and TV producer Karga Seven Pictures.
• The agreement was mediated by ACF Investment Bank, and the clients, Questlove, Black Thought, The Roots, and Two One Five, are represented by Shawn Gee and WME.
