Overview
- Operations have begun at the Regional Training Center for Police NRW, offering immersive drills from traffic accidents to terror incidents.
- Dedicated infrastructure includes an active-shooter hall (“Amokhalle”), a shooting range and a mat room for physical tactics.
- Training covers the use of service weapons, Tasers and bodycams as well as procedural responses in close quarters.
- The center serves forces from Duisburg, Kleve, Wesel and Krefeld as a single hub for scenario practice.
- It is intended to boost preparedness and increase safety for roughly 3,000 officers in the region.
