Firefighters responded around 12:33 p.m. Friday to a one-and-a-half-story home on Logan Avenue North and quickly put out flames in a first-floor bedroom, according to the Minneapolis Fire Department. One adult was treated for burns to their hands, and a dog was rescued without injury. Damage rendered the home uninhabitable, and the American Red Cross assisted two adults and three children. In a separate incident Thursday near 36th and Garfield Avenue South, crews rescued an adult who was hospitalized in serious condition, and a rescued dog later died. Authorities said the causes of both fires are under investigation, with reports listing the Logan Avenue address in the 2000 or 2400 block.
