- The Inyo County Sheriff’s Office announced on July 23 that Pittman had been located alive and safe in Colorado after a multi-state search.
- Search efforts ran from February through June and involved sheriff’s deputies, park rangers, drone teams, cadaver dog units and volunteer rescuers across harsh terrain.
- Pittman’s white 2009 Chevrolet HHR was discovered on February 9 on private property just off Highway 190 near the boundary of Death Valley National Park.
- Authorities only filed a missing-person report after contacting Pittman’s mother, with her last known contact occurring in Utah in November 2024.
- Officials have stated no further information will be released out of respect for Pittman’s and her family’s privacy.
