North Carolina vs. Florida State Game Coincides with Legalization of Online Sports Betting

As North Carolina prepares for a key basketball game, the state is also gearing up to launch legal online sports betting in March.

Legal online sports betting in North Carolina is set to begin in March, coinciding with the Atlantic Coast Conference men’s basketball tournament.
State lottery commission has unanimously voted to set noon March 11 as the time in which sports betting can commence on mobile devices and computers.
Nine entities have applied with the commission to take bets in the state, and those applicants must receive a certificate of compliance in order to offer betting on their online platforms.
North Carolina will become the 30th state, along with the District of Columbia, to offer mobile sports betting.
