North Carolina Realtor Charged in Triple Homicide After Victims' Son Intervenes

David Lever, 55, was arrested after being held at gunpoint by the son of two victims, with authorities investigating four linked crime scenes.

David Lever, a Greenville-based real estate agent, has been charged with three counts of murder in connection with the killings of a married couple and a neighbor in North Carolina.
The victims include Anthony Gribble, 80, and Paula Gribble, 76, who were Lever's former real estate clients, and Enrique Reyes, 64, a retired university biology professor who lived near Lever.
Lever was apprehended after the Gribbles' son held him at gunpoint at the scene of his parents' murder, an action authorities say likely prevented further killings.
Investigators discovered over 50 firearms in Lever's home and additional weapons in his van, which was reportedly used in a shooting spree across four crime scenes.
Authorities have yet to determine a motive for the killings, and Lever remains in custody without bond, awaiting his next court appearance on January 29.
