North Carolina Man Charged with Killing Mother and Brother Days After Prison Release

Da’ron Jenkins, 25, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder for the deaths of his mother, Dana Jenkins, 50, and his teenage brother, Daryn Cox, 15.
The victims were discovered in their Wilson, North Carolina home on March 31, 2025, with authorities yet to disclose a motive or cause of death.
Jenkins had been released from prison just six days prior, after serving over five years for theft-related crimes, including gun theft and vehicle burglary.
A family member reported Jenkins displayed erratic behavior and signs of mental instability in the days leading up to the killings.
