• Julia Suárez slowed to make a left turn on Highway 73 in Iron Station when her Chevrolet Blazer was struck from behind, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
• The rear impact sent the SUV into oncoming traffic where it was sideswiped and then struck another vehicle, Master Trooper Chris Casey said.
• All three occupants from Suárez’s vehicle were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and no other injuries were reported.
