• Adam Lopez, 39, from Mattishall near Norwich, was rushed to hospital on September 10 with a bilateral pulmonary embolism after a leg clot travelled to his lungs.
• He spent eight days at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and called the ambulance dash a life-changing wake-up call.
• Lopez expects six to nine months of recovery as he works to get back to the full version of himself.
• He acknowledged partying for roughly three months and said quitting his job removed the daily structure he needed.
• After the July scratchcard win, he bought a Range Rover Sport, gifted his mother a Range Rover Evoque, and praised paramedics and hospital staff as angels.
