Overview
- Nordstrom has scheduled 12 openings between Sept. 18 and Oct. 30 in Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Massachusetts, New York and Texas, according to its future openings page.
- The first locations opened Sept. 18 in Longmont, Colorado, and Coral Springs, Florida, with final debuts set for Oct. 30 in Lake Grove, New York, and Prosper, Texas.
- Other dated openings include Estero, Florida, and Holbrook, New York (Oct. 2); Flower Mound, Texas (Oct. 9); Melbourne, Florida, and Hyannis, Massachusetts (Oct. 16); Lakeland, Florida, and Meridian, Idaho (Oct. 23).
- The rollout follows closures of full-line stores at Saint Louis Galleria on Aug. 24 and Santa Monica Place on Aug. 26, plus outlet closures in Peabody on Jan. 31 and Braintree on March 8, with Nordstrom saying it would support affected employees.
- In December 2024 Nordstrom agreed to a $6.25 billion sale that closed in early 2025, leaving the Nordstrom family with 50.1% ownership and El Puerto de Liverpool with 49.9%, and the company has also flagged further growth with a planned Nordstrom Rack in Encinitas, California, in spring 2026.
