Nora Burnett Abrams to Lead Boston's Institute of Contemporary Art

Nora Burnett Abrams will leave her role as director of the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver to become the director of the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston, starting May 1, 2025.
During her tenure at MCA Denver, Abrams increased the museum's endowment by 30% and expanded its presence with a second location.
Abrams is recognized for her commitment to inclusivity, having developed a Racial Equity Plan for MCA Denver.
She has curated over 40 exhibitions, significantly boosting museum attendance and engaging the community with innovative programs.
Abrams aims to build on the ICA's foundation of civic engagement and artistic excellence, succeeding Jill Medvedow, who led the ICA for 26 years.
