Overview

  • On July 18, Metro Nashville Police reported that workers found a noose at the site of the new Nissan Stadium in Nashville
  • The Tennessee Builders Alliance immediately halted construction and alerted law enforcement to launch a formal investigation
  • The alliance has offered a reward for information leading to the identification of the individual responsible for placing the noose
  • All personnel at the site must complete additional anti-bias training and a site-wide stand-down focused on inclusion will precede any resumption of work
  • The 60,000-seat, $2.1 billion stadium, backed by a $1.26 billion public subsidy, remains on track to open in February 2027
