Noida Skywalk Linking Blue and Aqua Lines to Open Oct. 2

The air-conditioned link promises faster, ticketless transfers between Sector 52 of the Blue Line to Sector 51 on the Aqua Line after design-related delays.

Overview

  • NMRC said finishing work will be completed by September 30 to meet the October 2 public opening.
  • The connector measures 420 metres by 5 metres and features elevators and moving walkways for quicker transfers.
  • A travellator operating at 0.5 metres per second will assist passenger movement between the two stations.
  • The project began in March 2023 at a reported cost of ₹40 crore and was redesigned from a single-pillar to a two-pillar structure.
  • The skywalk replaces a 300-metre tin-shed corridor and is intended to eliminate separate tickets and cut time and costs previously spent on e-rickshaws or temporary walkways.
